Characteristics and uses:
characteristic wholesome, clean look. Ideal raw, but may also be used in fruit salads, strudels and cakes.
Appearance:
rough yellow-green skin, extensively marked and striped bright red. Symmetrical globular and flat shape; medium-sized. Yellow-cream flesh.
Flesh:
firm, particularly crunchy and very juicy.
Taste:
tart and fragrant, with a pleasant and distinctive flavour.
